　　在海南话中，“老爸”一般是指上了年纪的中老年男性。“老爸茶”，顾名思义是上了年纪的“老爸”喝的茶，是指一种风靡全岛的平民佳饮。一壶茶，一碟花生，或一二个小吃，陈旧的桌凳，围着三两个穿着“朴素”的茶客，闲闲静静地“吃 ”着茶，聊着天，构成了海南特别是海口最常见的市井画面，折射出了海南独特的地方文化——老爸茶文化。可以说，一壶老爸茶就是一部活生生的海南社会史。因此，本文试图通过对“老爸茶”的“社会生活”与“象征生活”的考察，来探寻“老爸茶”所蕴含的文化内涵，同时探讨在城市发展过程中，特别是海南省建设国际旅游岛与海口创建“全国文明城市和国家卫生城市”(以下简称“双创”)的双重背景下，作为海南市井文化代表的“老爸茶”该何去何从。

　　In Hainan dialect, "Dad" generally refers to middle aged and elderly people. As the name suggests, "Old Papa Tea" is a kind of tea drunk by those old "Daddies" and now it has become a good drink of civilians sweeping the whole island. With a pot of tea, a dish of peanut, one or two plates of snacks, two or three casually dressed people sit around old tables, idly drinking their tea and chatting with each other, which constitutes the most common street scene in Hainan, especially in Haikou, and meanwhile, it also reflects Hainan's unique street culture - "Old Papa Tea" culture. It can be said that a pot of "Old Papa Tea" is a living history of Hainan society. Therefore, this paper attempts to explore the cultural connotation of "Old Papa Tea" through discussing its "social life" and "symbolic life", and after that，this paper will also discuss which path "Old Papa Tea" should take, under the circumstance of constructing the whole Hainan island as an "International Tourism Island" and building Haikou city into a "National Civilized City and State Sanitation City " (hereinafter referred to as the "Double Construction").

　　第三句话中应用了with结构，动词的ing形式表伴随状语， which引导的非限制性定语从句，主句为two or three casually dressed people sit around old tables。

　　第五句话当中的“社会生活”和“象征生活”为特定概念，在这里只需按字面意思直接翻译出来即可，即：social life and symbolic life。through doing sth.介宾短语作了方式状语，翻译这句话时有一个生词---内涵，可以用connotation来表述。

　　特别是海南省建设国际旅游岛与海口创建“全国文明城市和国家卫生城市”(以下简称“双创”)的双重背景下，翻译这句话时可以把它当作英语当中的时间状语来翻译，借用介词短语under the circumstance of;另外，需要注意的是build sth. into sth，这一个短语当中万不可少了介词into。
