　　一、I can't take a bite without calculating how many calories I am taking.

　　六级词汇讲解：

　　take a bite的字面意思是“咬一口”，它的另一层意思是“尝试一下”，相当于have a try.

　　六级考点归纳：

　　与bite相关的常见用法还有：

　　1. bite me，该短语可以单独成句，意为Leave me alone!(别理我!)或Go away!(走开!)

　　What's biting you?意思与What's urrong with you?相当，表示“你出什么事了?”“你为什么事烦恼呀?”

　　2. bite the dust意为to be killed in battle(在战争中倒下，战死)。如：

　　It was such a serious battle that all the soldiers bit the dust. 战斗进行得异常激烈，战士们全部阵亡。

　　二、I don't know why I let you talk me into going.

　　六级词汇讲解：

　　talk sb. into / out of sth. / doing sth.，意为“说服某人做/不做某事”。在口语中，这一表达比persuade更常用。如：

　　1)Have you tried talking him into / joining our club? 你有没有试着说服他加入我们的社团?

　　2)I talked him out of / working for his boss, after he fulfilled the contract there. 我劝他在合同期满后不要再为他的老板工作。

　　口语中与talk有关的短语还有很多。如：

　　fable talk 席间闲谈

　　talk at sb. 影射某人，指桑骂槐地讲某人

　　talk big / tall 吹牛，说大话

　　talk round 说服;讲话兜圈子

　　talk show 谈话节目，脱口秀

　　talk sb. around 说服某人

　　talk lens 说话有道理

　　talk the hind leg offa donkey 唠叨不停
