　　It's possible that plutocrats(有钱有势的人)are expressing solidarity with thestruggling middle class as part of an effort to insulate themselves from confiscatory(没收性的)tax policies.

　　有钱有势的人可能会与奋斗中的中产阶级团结在一起，这是他们为了免受没收性征税政策影响所作的努力之一。

　　六级词汇讲解：

　　本句的主要结构是“It +be+形容词+that从句”，其中it是形式主语，that引导的主语从句是本句的真正主语。主语从句的主干是plutocrats are expressing solidarity to insulate themselves from confiscatory tax policies作目的状语。

　　solidarity的意思是“团结，一致”，常用短语show/express solidarity with的意思是“与……团结一致”。如：

　　We must show/express solidarity with the strikers.

　　我们要与罢工者团结在一起。

　　insulate…from的意思是“使……隔离;使……免受影响”。

　　confiscatory的意思是“没收性的”，其动词形式是confiscate，意思是“没收，充公”。

　　六级考点归纳：

　　It+be+形容词+ that从句“是主语从句后置而使用形式主语it的一个常见句型。能用于这种句型的常见的形容词有：strange、natural，obvious、true、possible、clear、surprising等。如：

　　It is strange that he didn't attend the meeting yesterday.

　　奇怪的是他昨天没有去参加会议。

　　It was obvious that he was telling a lie.

　　很明显，他在说谎。
