　　Another part of the study suggests far the more is at stake than the mere expression of views.

　　该研究的另一个部分表明，不仅仅是观点的表达处于危险之中。

　　六级词汇讲解：

　　本句的主干是Another part of the study suggests…. far more is at stake than the mere expression of views是suggests的宾语从句，其主干为more is at stake， far此处用于表示程度—“远远;大大”，than引导的是more所比较的对象。

　　at stake的意思是“成败难料;有风险”。如：

　　If they lose the contract, hundreds of jobs are at stake.

　　他们要是失去那份合同，几百人将濒临失业的境地。

　　六级考点归纳：

　　动词suggest有以下常见含义

　　1. “提议，建议”，常用于suggest sb. (for sth.)或suggest sb./sth. (as sth.)的结构之中。如：

　　He suggested Paris as a good place for a honeymoon.

　　他提议去巴黎，他认为那儿是度蜜月的好去处。

　　2. “使想起”，常用于suggest sth. (to sb.)的结构之中。如：

　　Which illness do those symptoms suggest to you?

　　这些症状在你看来是什么病?

　　3. “间接表明，暗示，意味着”。如：

　　Are you suggesting that I'm not telling the trufih?

　　你的意思是不是说我没说实话?

　　4. “想到”，常出现在suggest itself (to sb.)的结构之中。如：

　　An idea suggested itself to me.

　　我想到一个主意。
