Senior citizen discounts only enhance the myth that older people can't take care of themselves and need special treatment; and they treaten the creation of a new myth, that the elderly are ungratelyful and taking for themselves at the expense of children and other age groups. 　　【析句】复合句。主句由两个分句组成，前句是Senior citizen discounts only enhance the myth; 后句是and they treaten the creation of a new myth。两个分句中，the myth后都有that引导的同位语从句，第一个同位语从句是that older people can't take care of themselves and need special treatment, 第二个同位语从句是that the elderly are ungrateful and taking for...，可以看出，两个同位语从句中都包含两个并列的谓语动词。
