　　【析句】复合句。主句是That shift place an unprecedented premium on "knowledge workers", a new class of...people作knowledge workers的同位语，而最后who引导定语从句修饰同位语中的people。

　　2. There’s a growing appreciation that superficially similar groups of customers may have very different preferences in terms of what they want to buy and how they want to buy it. (2005. 阅读. 12. Text 4)

　　【译文】商家越来越理解，表面上相似的顾客在想要购买的商品和购买的方式方面可能会有截然不同的喜好。

　　【析句】例句2充分体现了英语中抽象名词的广泛使用。主句There's a growing aprreciation, appreciation是由动词转换而来的抽象名词，在句中表达appreciate的意义，它的后面有that引导的同位语从句。同位语从句中，主句是similar groups of customers may have different preferences in terms of..., in terms of是介词短语，of后有两个并列的宾语从句what they want to buy 和how they want to buy it。

　　【译文】越来越多的公司正意识到具有破坏性的技术的重要性——这些创新可能会使一条生产线、甚至是整个产业部门都真正地过时。

　　【析句】复合句。主句More companies are learning the importance of destructive technologies,破折号后，innovations是destructive的同位语，后面又有that引导的定语从句修饰。定语从句的主干是that hold the potential to make...virtually outdated, 因为make后有多个直接宾语，容易导致对句子理解错误。
